Hall Achieving Important Goals in Appalachia
Shawna Hall, a 2004 graduate of Alice Lloyd College, was honored by the Young Professionals of East Kentucky last November. Hall was given the Young Professional in Education award.
Spradlin Living a Dream at the University of Kentucky
Alice Lloyd College alumnus Preston Spradlin’s rise through the ranks of the University of Kentucky’s sports staff serves as an excellent example of the incredible work ethic that the College’s student-athletes acquire while on campus. Currently, Spradlin serves as the university’s Assistant Director of Basketball Operations under head coach John Calipari.
Excellence in Teaching Award Given to Dr. Mary Beth Holbrook, Class of ’95

Duff Lands TV Show On DISH Network
Alice Lloyd College had the opportunity to speak with ALC alumnus, Mr. Todd Duff. Duff has recently landed his show, Jak’d Up Outdoors, on the Hunt Channel on DISH Network. Jak’d Up Outdoors premiered on October 3rd. The show airs every Thursday at 7:00 AM (or check your local listings).
Alumnus Joins Medical Team at Harlan County Clinic
According to The Harlan Daily Enterprise, Alice Lloyd College alumnus Eric Roberts has joined the medical team at the Clover Fork Clinic in Evarts, Ky.
Athletics Hall of Fame Welcomes Three New Members
On Saturday, October 12, 2013, Alice Lloyd College inducted three former athletes into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place at the Grady Nutt Athletic Center on the College’s campus as part of the annual Appalachia Day Homecoming activities.
Proud to Be an Eagle: Dr. Anthony Yonts
Alice Lloyd College alumni are making a difference in Appalachia, and Dr. Anthony Yonts is one excellent example of that. Currently, Dr. Yonts is a physician and co-owner at Quantum Health Care in Hazard, Kentucky.
Women’s Tennis Season Outlook
The Alice Lloyd College women’s tennis team is moving into the second half of the 2013 season. While there is a lot of potential with this group of players, the Lady Eagles are in a rebuilding phase.
