On Saturday, October 13, 2012, Alice Lloyd College inducted five former athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place in the College’s Grady Nutt Athletic Center as part of the annual Appalachia Day Homecoming activities.

Eagles Run at Kentucky Christian: Randolph Shatters School Record

Purpose Road Goes Pink: Walking for the Cure
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) will be hosting a Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and Research on Tuesday, October 23rd. This event will take place on the Purpose Road. Everything begins at 4:30 PM (with sign-up in the Meadow) and ends at 5:30 PM.
Eagles Outshine the Field in “Run for Change”
On Saturday October 13, 2012, four members of the Alice Lloyd College Cross Country team participated in the 2012 Knott County “Run for Change” 5K race, which took place in Hindman. The purpose of this event was to raise awareness of the drug epidemic that plagues our region.

Eagles Cross Country Has Stellar Meet at UPike
The Alice Lloyd College Cross Country squad traveled to Pikeville on October 1st to participate in the UPike Invitational. Participants from Pikeville and Bluefield joined the Eagles on a mountainous course that had been soaked by rain the entire day. Twenty-seven total runners toed the starting line, but the adverse weather did little to deter ALC as they made a solid showing.
