Ariel Nickell Named KIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Alice Lloyd College senior Ariel Nickell was named the KIAC women’s basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 20th. This is her second player of the week award of the season.

The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles returned to action on Tuesday, January 14th, against Berea College. The home team was able to get out to a great start and never looked back as they ran the Lady Mountaineers out of the gym, 99-63.

The Alice Lloyd Eagles returned to the hardwood on Saturday, January 11th, as J.R. Hammond’s squad battled the Point Park Pioneers. ALC fought off a furious rally from the team out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to win by a final score of 71-68.

Eagles Get Off to Positive Start in 2014, Defeat CCU
Junior guard Cody Stumbo pumped in 21 points while sophomore forward Tyler Rogers had the defensive stop of the night to spark Alice Lloyd to a 75-70 victory over conference foe Cincinnati Christian University. The game was the first on the Eagles’ 2014 schedule.
Lady Eagles Ring in New Year With Emphatic Conference Win
Junior guard Carla Booth swished in 22 points and orchestrated an early three-point barrage by the hosts, as the Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles overwhelmed conference foe Cincinnati Christian University, 104-86. The game was the first played in 2014.
ALC Students Share the True Reason for the Season
Alice Lloyd College students and faculty recently contributed to Operation Christmas Child, donating 1,082 boxes that will be sent to children in over 130 countries. On December 17th, several students also traveled to the international headquarters of Samaritan’s Purse in Boone, North Carolina, to aid in processing the boxes.
Eagles Prevail Against Conference Foe IU East, 81-76
The Eagles returned to their home floor on Saturday, December 14th, to take on IU East. The hosts survived a tough test from the Red Wolves, claiming an 81-76 victory.
Lady Eagles Topple Ohio Christian, 83-62
The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles were back in action at home on Saturday, December 14th, versus Ohio Christian University. ALC was able to take this one pretty easily by a final score of 83-62.
ALC Sending Record Number of Interns to Frankfort
Alice Lloyd College is proud to announce the recipients of the Frankfort Semester Internship Program: Brett Preston (senior), Brittany Smith (senior), Jarrod Stamper (junior), Ashley Daily (junior), Brent Mills (junior), and Kristyn Densmore (sophomore). These students will be representing Alice Lloyd as they live, work, and study in the state capital during the 2014 spring semester.
ALC Crochet Group Ends Semester With Two Big Projects
The ALC Crochet Group is ending the semester with two important projects:nursing home donations and crocheting a patchwork afghan for the family of Kevin Brown, a student at ALC.
