The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) released its baseball conference and individual awards on Wednesday, April 30th. Three Eagles were recognized for their superior play during the 2014 season.

ALC History Professor Presents Paper in England
The talents of Alice Lloyd College’s professors are not limited to the mountains of Kentucky, but are showcased internationally. Dr. Rhonda Smith-Daugherty, Associate Professor of History, spent April 14-17, 2014, at an international conference in Sandhurst, England, presenting her paper over famous aviator Jacqueline Cochran.
Hyden, Smith Honored by KIAC at Men’s Golf Championships
The Alice Lloyd College Eagles golf team completed their 2013-14 season with the KIAC Conference Golf Championship at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond Kentucky. Cody Hyden and Randall Smith were honored by the KIAC for their individual achievements.

Nickell, Wilson Named NAIA All-Americans
Alice Lloyd senior forward Ariel Nickell was named to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball All-America Third Team, making her a three-time All-American. Senior point guard Isaac Wilson was listed as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year.
Eagles to Play KIAC Tourny Opener Tonight in Tennessee
The Alice Lloyd College Eagles begin their quest in the KIAC Baseball Tournament as the #6 seed and will face Indiana University Southeast tonight (Wednesday, April 23rd) at 8 PM.

Alice Lloyd Excels at PBL State Leadership Conference
On Friday, April 11th, ten students and one adviser attended the annual Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference, which was held on the campus of Georgetown College. The students and the local chapter of Alice Lloyd College performed very well, bringing home many awards and recognitions.

Voices of Appalachia to Present Spring Concert This Week
Alice Lloyd College’s Voices of Appalachia, a group of the College’s most talented vocalists and musicians, will be presenting their spring concert on Thursday, April 10th at 7:30 PM. The event will be held on the lawn in front of Miss June’s House. Each semester, the choir puts on an entertaining show, performing a variety of songs that capture the rich history and traditions of the Appalachian Mountains.
Professor Ware to Carve Pottery at Kentucky Artisan Center
On Saturday, April 12, Alice Lloyd College professor Mike Ware will be throwing pottery on the wheel and carving the clay surface with intricate patterns from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea.
The Kentucky Humanities Council Brings “Alice Lloyd: Stay On, Stranger” to ALC
On Saturday, April 5th, Alice Spencer Geddes Lloyd will return to Pippa Passes as Jacqueline Hamilton portrays her in the Kentucky Humanities Council’s Kentucky Chautauqua. Hamilton will perform her skit, “Stay On, Stranger,” in the Cushing Hall auditorium at 1 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
Eagle Theatre Set to Present Spring Production
Director Megan Burnett and Alice Lloyd College’s Eagle Theatre Club are proud to present their spring production, Censored on Final Approach, to the campus community on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 7:30 PM each night in the Campbell Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
