Alice Lloyd College is saddened to announce the passing of longtime staff member Margarett Duff. For 38 years, Margarett served the College as Director of Health Services, dedicating her career to caring for generations of Alice Lloyd College students.
Margarett was a friendly and familiar face to students, faculty, and staff in their times of need. Whether offering medical care, words of encouragement, or simply a listening ear, she cared for others with kindness and compassion.
The entire Alice Lloyd College family is heartbroken by the loss of one of its own. The outpouring of love and support from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends is a testament to the lives Margarett touched throughout her years of service.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
