The Lady Eagles gave a valiant effort on Tuesday, but the team’s struggles on this night showed as the scores of the three sets were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-4. Katie McFarland led ALC with 10 digs while Shayla Brinegar recorded 3 digs of her own. Jessie Carter, Sarrah Huber and McFarland also generated 1 kill each.

Despite the loss, this match was a special occasion for the Lady Eagles. The match was played as part of “Digging for a Cure,” a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. Fans were encouraged to wear pink and were granted free admission. All donations received were accepted towards the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Lady Eagles will next see action on the road at Crown College on October 11th. The team will participate in a tri-match, facing Crown and Welch College. This will be the first of two meetings between the Lady Eagles and Crown College this season as Alice Lloyd will host them later this month.
