The Alice Lloyd Eagles were back on the diamond on Monday, April 1st, as they hosted a two-game set against Johnson University. The games were played in Knott County, Kentucky.

Game 1

Wayne Sparks started the game for ALC. The bats got going early and often for the Eagles. The home team took a 1-0 lead after the first inning and never looked back.

ALC added multiple runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Brandon Arnold had 3 RBIs while Cody Hyden and Josh Mills drove home 2. Jake Bales had the other run batted in.Sparks went two innings while Ryan Burrow pitched four and Jordan Horn pitched one. Sparks and Horn pitched shutout ball while Burrow gave up just 3 hits and 1 run.

The second game was a lot like the first. Mackenzie Hicks was given the ball for the series finale. Alice Lloyd scored in every inning but the first. Zach Hancock and Ben Ray had a field day at the plate with 3 runs batted in apiece. Shane Pack, Cody Hyden, Derek Walzer, and Will Hamilton had RBIs, as well.

Hicks pitched two innings, giving up 1 hit and 1 run and struck out 1. Russell Sweeney, Chance Westerfield and Aaron Boling pitched the other four innings. They allowed 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 5 batters.
