Alice Lloyd College senior Trey King was named the KIAC Baseball Player of the Week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 23rd.

Alice Lloyd won their only game of the week which secures their first winning season in 13 years. King had a 5-hit day going 5-for-5 against New River Community College while collecting 2 RBIs and scoring a pair of runs. Alice Lloyd won the game 9-3. The senior second baseman improved his season batting average to .347 (34-for-98).

 

Alice Lloyd College senior Trevor Corns was named the KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 23rd.

Corns needed only 85 pitches in 7 innings to earn the win against New River Community College on April 20th. The senior pitcher only allowed 4 hits and struck out 5 opposing batters. He improved his season record to 4-6. Corns leads the Alice Lloyd pitching staff with 43 strikeouts.

 

Alice Lloyd is currently 17-20 overall and 7-9 in conference play. They will return to action on April 25th when they play Berea in the opening game of the KIAC Baseball Tournament in Kingsport, TN.
