ALC 72

#12 Indiana University-East 83

12th ranked IU East opened up an eighteen point lead, and then withstood a furious Eagles rally before prevailing 83-72. The contest was held on a neutral floor at Midway College.

In the first half, the Red Wolves from IU East flexed their muscles and built a fifteen point lead by the first buzzer (46-31).

In the final stanza, they increased their margin to eighteen only to watch the Eagles fight back to reduce the deficit to three. Unfortunately for the young men from Pippa Passes, IU East managed to settle down and make enough big plays down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Casey Dalton

ALC (12-12, 4-6 KIAC) was led by senior Casey Dalton with 17 points. Joining him in double figures were Isaac Wilson and Shawn Thompson with 16 and 13 points, respectively.

IU East (21-5) 9-1 KIAC) was led by guards Matt Trimnell and Joshua Cook with 18 points each.
